Week ten has officially left me in a state of shock because for the first time in four years we have had our first tied regular season game. This week the St Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers could not find a way to not settle the game in overtime thanks to missed field goals and penalties wiping out huge plays.
The Rams had the first chance to win the game in overtime and managed to complete an 80 yard pass taking the ball to the two yard line however the play was pulled back for an illegal formation penalty. The 49ers had the next chance but subsequently missed a 41 yard field goal attempt. The last scoring opportunity fell to the Rams who managed to score a 53 yard field goal, unfortunately it was again pulled back for a penalty, this time for a delay of game. All in all I think it is a period both teams will want to forget but on a plus note a tie is better than a loss on your record.

This week also saw a monster victory for the Baltimore Ravens as they managed to destroy the Oakland Raiders 55 - 20. It was like the Raiders didn't show up for this game until late in the day and at one point after receiving abuse from a defender Anquan Boldin reminded his counterpart of the score by pointing to the scoreboard. This victory was also a landmark for the Ravens because it set their franchise record for most points they have scored in a game.
Lets take a quick break from the games to admire the top five catches of week ten. (Click on the photo below to watch the video)
The crisis in New York continued this week for both the Jets and the Giants. Eli Manning went another game without throwing a touchdown pass, that now takes him to three consecutive games without a touchdown. Not good news for those like me who own Eli Manning in their fantasy teams.
The green side of Meadowlands is not having a good time of things either, Sundays defeat to Seattle takes their record to 3 - 6 for the year. It is also worth noting that they failed to score a touchdown on offence. Rex Ryan may not want to admit it but surely it is Tebow time for the Jets as he will win them games of that I have no doubt!

This brings me nicely on to my wall of shame as both of the above teams feature this week!

MEgatron award
This week has been filled with many great performances mainly from tight ends like Jimmy Graham and Tony Gonzalez however they have not quite done enough to win the award this week.
Instead this week the award goes to a quarterback who is really making a name for himself in this his second year in the league. It also helps that he has a great weapon to throw to in A J Green. That's right fans the award this week goes to Andy Dalton for the way he controlled his offence against the New York Giants. He threw for a total of 199 yards and a career high four touchdowns to four different receivers. Congratulations Andy Dalton on being the week ten Megatron award winner.

Ray Lewis award
This week there wasn't so much one player that stood out for me but a whole defence. For me the entire Tennessee defence had a massive impact on their game against the Miami Dolphins forcing four turnovers which included intercepting Ryan Tannehill three times and recovering a Reggie Bush fumble. This defence is really making a name for itself this year and I therefore congratulate them on becoming the Ray Lewis award winners for week ten.
Well that's all she wrote as they say for this weeks action, until next week take care and stay safe. Remember you can also get in touch via twitter, facebook or email by clicking the above icons or leaving a comment on the blog.
